How it works
This guide walks through one project from start to finish, one part at a time. It takes about five minutes to read, or start with the videos below. You can keep it open in another tab while you work.
Watch it first
Three short videos with captions and no sound. The projects and members in them are made up.
Where everything is: projects, the board, messages, reviews and your account.
The four stages, from describing a scenario to a draft protocol.
One project end to end, including colleague review and revision.
The idea
The generator follows the order a supervisor and student would use to design a new study.
- Agree on the scenario
Who touched what, in what order, and how long before sampling.
- Work through the method decisions
The choices the scenario raises, such as how items are cleaned between trials.
- Settle the details
The follow-up choices those decisions lead to.
- Write the protocol
Only now, with every choice made, does the draft get written.
Each stage builds on the one before it. So the protocol at the end reflects every choice you made along the way.
A supervisor brings years of bench experience. The generator brings a structured checklist and a fast first draft. Its suggestions still need a scientist's judgment.
